Just when you thought Global Warming, er, Climate Change, and Kyoto were our biggest threats (copyright: Richard Clark, December 2000) here comes a stunner:

Magnetic flip-flops

The earths magnetic field has fallen by 10% in the last 150 years, and threatens to do a JFKerry flip-flop! The effect on the earth will be catastrophic, and it is all our fault.

Environmentalists are demanding that the US sign the Kryptonite Treaty that eliminates all electrical devices by the year 2010, with only a minor impact to US living standards. Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Europe, Asia, Canada, South America, Australia, Greenland and Walter Kronkite are exempt from the treaty.

I'm old enough to remember all the fuss over the first Earth Day. I was in 4th grade I think. They were all worried about global cooling and talk of the next Ice Age was all the rage after a couple of cold winters. 20 or 30 years isn't enough to make a judgement on long-term climate predictions, sorry. Therefore, the greenies have little credibility with me.
