Glass headlight repair

I found a casualty from my trip. I thought we got pinged by a rock at one point, but it (fortunately) missed the windshield.

Today when dropping the car at the hauler, I found this:

Small hole, glass seems to have chipped inside.

I think I had a small hole in a Hella e-code on my E30 BMW, and I was able to seal it with some clear silicone. But it was much smaller.

It may be worth a try, a replacement set is $200. But hoping for some recommendations. This car won’t likely see a lot of bad weather, moisture, or UV on the day to day.

I’d like perfection, but I’d also like to take my time to do that while Im doing stuff on this and the other cars…

Which car? Lenses are often available separately for that vintage of MB.

That could be in the cards. The lights on the car are depo brand, not Hella or OE. So it’s a bit of a risk of it will fit. Need to look into it more. This is primarily a stopgap.
