Genuine Honda A02 C&P, 5K miles

This filter is from a 2019 CR-V 1.5T after 5K of use with M1 EP 0W-20. The vehicle has 25K miles.

Prior services were done at 6,500 to 7,000 mile intervals using the same oil and filter combination.

The filter had no integrity issues. The bottom of the can had some black soot that I sometimes see in GDI engines, but this one did not contain as much as the other CR-V that went 9500 miles on the same oil and filter combo.

That's some pretty black oil, the direct injection must generate a large amount of soot. Do you see an evidence of agglomeration when you look down the filler hole?
