Here's the data I collected. The consumption data was for a 1.00 hour run of a 1.5L Isuzu in a 12.5kW Onan/Cummins generator on a load bank set at 6250 watts.

Three GDiesel samples were purchased from three different locations listed on the GDiesel web site. Two control samples were run, Shell and Chevron, both EPA 49 state ULSD.

Density in g/ml at 21C:

Code:
Shell 0.8340

Chevron 0.8303

GD1 0.8306

GD2 0.8286

GD3 0.8282

Calorimetry in calories/gram:

Code:
Shell 10,879

Chevron 10,926

GD1 10,933

GD2 10,925

GD3 10,939

Consumption (grouped by day) in g/hr.

Code:
Shell 2158.17

GD1 2173.26 +0.70%

Shell 2147.51

GD1 2137.92 -0.45%

Chevron 2169.42

GD2 2164.65 -0.22%

GD3 2142.28 -1.25%

The GDiesel showed an average of 0.30% lower consumption compared to the two controls. The average margin of error based on the replicate samples is 1.05%

Wow, that is statistically within the noise. I would not expect anything different considering there is literally no difference in specifications.

I wonder if you really were pumping GDiesel. Does it smell different? How about the cost?

Without a difference in energy density, how could we expect a better result?

There was a slight difference in smell. The GDiesel has a "softer" smell, a bit more like kerosene. The cost at retail is the same.

They start with EPA compliant 49 state diesel and end with what is claimed to be an ASTM compliant diesel. There's not much room for differences.
