Hi, I'm the desperately seeking GC-person. I'll be going to Buiess Creek, NC in a few weeks. (my wife has an interview at the Campbell Pharmacy school there, hope she gets in..) Since GC doesn't seem to exist in TN, I was wondering where I can go for a GC-search in Buies Creek area...(I have no idea how big of a city that is, or whether that's a real city even :-)) Any ideas? Thanks...

97tbird, It is spelled Buies Creek and is a town of 2215. But here is what you are really looking for: Area Autozones (those listings with an number and letter in the upper LH corner are how far and in what direction they are from Buies Creek) Hope you strike gold...er green 908 W Cumberland Street (I think this one is only Dunn, NC 28334 "single digit miles" (910) 892-4008 away) 13N 1120 North Main St Fuquay Varina, NC 27526 (919) 557-6749 21SW 404 N Bragg Blvd Spring Lake, NC 28390 (910) 436-5755 23N 3220 S Wilmington Raleigh, NC 27603 (919) 772-3006 24SW 3118 Murchison Rd Fayetteville, NC 28301 (910) 488-3005 24W 2303 S. Horner Blvd Sanford, NC 27330 (919) 776-3399 24E 721 N Brightleaf Blvd,Space 7b Smithfield, NC 27577 (919) 989-1932 24SW 403 Santa Fe Drive Fayetteville, NC 28303 (910) 867-6025 26N 199 High House Road Cary, NC 27512 (919) 468-2593 27N 2000 New Bern Ave Raleigh, NC 27610 (919) 231-7211

How do you identify a German Castrol bottle? Does it say anything different than the regular one?

jason, The front label will have the 0W30 in red and the back label MUST look like this: - Note the improved European formula line, the European specs and the Made in Germany Imported by Castrol [ October 02, 2003, 07:16 PM: Message edited by: pscholte ]

Wow! I haven't been to Buies Creek since graduation from Campbell U. Small world. Our local Auto Zone in Elizabeth City has it so you should have good luck in North Carolina. [Wink]

thanks to all the replies....... Pscholte, Thanks so much for your time, and finding me that list...depending on how much time we spend there, I'll definitely give it a try... Oh mann, ich hoffe sehr, ich habe Glueck...

Pscholte, Wenn ich GC finde, dann sage ich dir sofort Bescheid...keine Frage. Kannst du mal die "bar code nummer" von der Flasche bitte geben? (Can you send me the bar code number-i hope this is the item number for GC-from the back of the GC bottle? is this the same as the US red label GC 0w-30??)) ein BITOG-Kerl aus Knoxviolle hat schon GC here gefunden, aber hat alles gekauft!-) Danke.

97tbird, UPN (barcode) is
code:
0 79191 00068 7

I am told this is the same number as is on Old Yeller, so an order would have to have some "human intervention" to ensure the warehouse looked for the "Made in Germany" on the case or bottle label. Hope you find.

97 TB -I'd call first. I personally refuse to drive a car anymore that is not filled with GC. [Big Grin] Just kidding, but I would make those punky kids work for their $6.65 and hour and check the bottles for you via phone. Yellow=bad, even a kid could get it. Good luck, if you want to break the tension and wait for an easy GC score in spring, I'll send you a brick for now (6). PS make them look in the back, a "winter" palette may have arrived with GC. "I got a fiver ($) for you if you find it" should work. [ October 04, 2003, 12:08 AM: Message edited by: TSoA ]

You're even more aggressive in your pursuit of the green elixir than I am and I thought I was pretty pushy. [Big Grin] [ October 04, 2003, 01:32 AM: Message edited by: pscholte ]
