Analysis by CAT/Thompson Machinery, Lavergne, TN.

I was alarmed at the lead, but when I compared it to other VW/Audi 2.8L engines, it actually was the lowest per 1000 miles on the oil. Also had the lowest values per 1000 miles for Al Cr Fe Pb and Sn I also did something different this time, I left the oil filter in since it is rated at 30000km/2 years, and will change it at the next oc.

I don't think you can edit post anymore? Anyways wanted to add this is a post ARX rinse/clean period (it was the next oil change after the rinse phase was completed) and also had 2 oz of ARX in the oil.

Looks good. I always hate these analysis that don't give more items. But it does have sodium and potassium which are indicative of any antifreeze.

I agree with Al, not alot of information, but what was given. nothing jumps out at me.

My wife drives 20 miles to school to MTSU nursing school four times a week. driving I-24 east. I'll have a UOA via butler in 3 months.

Looks pretty good. On the note of antifreeze, I know VW have had quite a lot of trouble with antifreeze and in particular the mixing of other antifreezes with their OEM stuff...essentially its a bad idea (mixing) since it turns to brown sludge and causes agressive corrosion. I know this trouble was particular to the G11 and G12, however the G12+ was a more user friendly fluid. Anyway, may just warrent a check and possible change to the G12+. A tell-tail sign of having a problem was a brown expansion bottle.

sorry about the lack of info, but the local cat dealer provides this for about $10, although the turn around has been terrible lately, maybe i should go to blackstone or another lab....

as far as antifreeze i only use the vw/pentosin g12 stuff for vws... i think it is purple.
