My wife was reading a post on a local neighborhood site.
She said oh my a man was robbed up at the Kum & Go .
"A man called police to say he was robbed and when the police showed up they asked if he had a description of the robber and he said yes it was pump #5."
Now up until the very last part we are both believing this was a real robbery.
OK you had to be here.

Snappy comebacks for your next dinner party:
...ever buy gas in Europe?
...hmmm.. maybe we burn too much of the stuff?
Where does all that money go?

This info was updated on March 8, 2022. Obviously US average price is even higher now at $4.637 as of March 21st, 2022. But still puts things in perspective somewhat accurately. I was hoping that I said good bye to $80-$100 full tanks when I sold my 1995 Chevy Tahoe, but seems like prices are coming back to rob me again...

1. Yes
2. Not by my standard
3. It depends on where it is coming from. Here in North America it goes into the shareholder's pockets (except that which gets diverted to an entity which is known for confiscating that which is not theirs). Elsewhere it goes into pockets that already have quite a bit in them.
