So my car a (2003 Nissan SER Spec-V) recommends pumping premium, (91 or better octane). I've always pumped Sunoco Grade Ultra 94. But now I wonder about the quality of gas more then the octane of gas. So I ask this question, which would you consider the better gasoline and why?

Shell V-Power 93 Octane
Mobil 93 Premium Octane
Sunoco Ultra 94 Octane

Which would you pump? Which keeps the combustion chamber the most clean? I cant get gas like Chevron, or most gases that you guys find on the west coast. I can get Mobil, Shell, Sunoco, Rutters and thats about it.

Recommendations?

Any of the top tier gases. Shell is on that list.

High Octane:
=========
Shell
Sunoco
Mobil

All of em' are good. We are loaded with Marathon, Citgo & BP stations here. I like your choices better than most here.

I really appreciate the answers, another wise car-care decision made. Shell V-Power from now on. Thanks!

Whichever is cheapest... It really matters very little.

Dont use the sunoco 94, use the sunoco premium... there is usually quite a large premium on price paid for hte 94 stuff... and I bet there isnt as much turnover of the 94 (unless its used as a blendstock, which I doubt).

As far keeping the CC clean I don't know but I've got better mileage with 1) Mobil 2)Shell never tested 3)Sunoco but here in michigan it has 10% ethanol which is supposed to decrease mileage

Either the Shell or Mobil. What you need to do is find out which gas station moves the most super premium unleaded. This way, you get the 'freshest' gas.
Around these parts, I rarely see cars filling up at Sunoco. And, when they do, its never the Ultra. I wonder how old(turnover time) that 94 octane stuff is.
