I don't know if this counts as a new tool, but it's handy.
I put up Wall control brand metal peg boards. They are available in horizontal as well as vertical. Different colors as well.

I went with yellow as it matches my tool chest.

While not cheap, it's easy to clean, looks good. The metal brackets stay in very well. I think it's easier to see things on it.

I like the accessories, I have most of my cordless power tools in one spot.
I also mounted a yellowjacket power strip below it.

Helps me make the best of a one car garage.

I should have mentioned that you need to use the Wall Control hardware. I don't think regular pegboard hardware works.

Looks nice.

After building my office, I had a wall that was next to my "workshop" area, in the basement. Rather than sheetrock I used the pegboard, floor to ceiling. If I ever organize it, I'll probably RTV the hooks in.

Awesome. At least you have a home garage lol. My house is the only one in our neighborhood without a garage. I do have a basement full of tools though and full of junk on the other side. I find pegboard very useful we have some at school it has all the tools from the 1960s and 70s on it that we use in a pinch.
