Hi.
Just to correct a post i made earlier.
I looked on the website of the official UK supplier of Glysantine products. They list the G40 for modern Mercedes vehicles. I said G12. Sorry about that.
The “official” formula from BASF distributed by Valvoline in the Zerex, BMW/Mini, Mercedes and Tesla bottles does state 2-EHA. I wouldn’t be shocked if Peak OET Euro blue also has it, OWI and BASF signed a deal but OWI has always been a CCI customer.
Prestone also has a Euro blue/purple coolant - it’s a sure bet it does have 2-EHA in it, but they have been mum to state if it’s silicated. It doesn’t have phosphate, it carries 5/150K life and doesn’t state Cor-Guard technology(phosphate).
I would like to know if anyone has Used Prestone Command antifreeze in the 3.0 Mercedes Diesel engine where I live Im thinking Iwill go with 60% strength
