G3 syns vs. G2+ dino and G4 syns by price...

I was pondering the place of group 3 syns in comparison to group 2+ dinos and group 4 syns. I think that if a group 3 is priced at or below $3/qt. its probably a good value. For less than $2/qt. I can get a good group 2+ dino (my choice for my vehicles) and for $4/ qt. ($20 for 5 qt. jug) I can get Mobil 1 which is a group 4. Does this make any sense?

If you go to Wal-Mart, you can get Shell Rotella T 5W40, a Group III product, for $12.84/gal or $3.21 per quart.
You could also get Wal-Mart's "SuperTech" store brand full synthetic product, which is Group III, for $2.99 per quart.
I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with more group III prices.
Remember that not all Group III is created equal. Some Group III costs more to make than other Group III, and works better.

$2.50/qt. GrpIII
$4.00/qt. GrpIV

Sounds more like a bargain to me, IMHO.
