I want to flush and fill my cooling system shortly and want to make sure this is the way to go. The car is at 90k with never having had this done. Any info is helpful.

G-05 should be what it came with from the factory so yes G-05 is the way to go for sure. The factory G-05 may be red in color, but it is DEFINITELY NOT DEX-COOL which is about the same color!

I would get the G-05 directly from the dealer.

Or you can get Zerox G05 from PepBoys for about 8.00 per gallon. You need to look at the front of the Zerox container to see the small G05 writing.

$12.99 here, Ray..

It's up a buck here since your (good) advice to go to G-05 in my Accent in Feb. of this year. It's 14.99 at Sterling Ford (for the Motorcraft G-05) near Dulles.

The stuff really settled down to a nice pale gold. You were right, it overruled what was left of the old snotty chemistry from the factory after 5 distilled flush and fills. G-05 in this car is now -38F winter, 266F summer per the ball tester..

It should be good for 30K easily, right?
