Was riding with a couple friends this weekend and while stopped for a leg stretch in Blairsville they were checking oil levels so I uprighted my bike and they both looked at it and one of them asked if I had just changed the oil.
I looked at him and said NO, but I did 2300 miles ago and he responded with an astounded look on his face, "your oil is still gold in the sight glass"! I said "yes, I know". Then told him it was because I was running "the good oil".
Both said the oils they use are black in the sight glass after several hundred miles and I said mine used to do that, when I was running inferior oil. Then came the question of which super high $ synthetic it was and when I told them it was Delo 400 30/40 they both said they never heard of it. I then told them I knew nothing about it before joining this site and learning as much as possible.
Hopefully both will join and learn, but I doubt it, too easy to ask someone you know about it....
