I've seen this link a few times. It's several pages long, the pics are a howl. Warning, some of the descriptions contain profanity. Scary Steering Some people shouldn't be turned loose with welding equipment.

I hate the phrase "Oh My God", but OMG does that page ever deserve it! My favorite is the rebar z-link, with inadequate gussets which were then swiss-cheesed just for a good measure.

If you go several pages back, there is a front axle with the diff cover gone and the gears hanging out. Gives new meaning to the term "open diff".

I looked at that some time ago. My favorite was the one where it looks like the guy went to Home Depot and got a couple pounds of washers and some extra long bolts to make spacers for the flex disk in the steering shaft.
