IM looking for an RTV type sealant to replace a cork gasket that goes under the 8"x8" square bolt on fuel neck of a forklift I have.

ITS A relic that originally had a cork gasket in this connection but I really don't want to hassle making another cork gasket.

Years ago I used to use a product made by OMC ( Outboard Marine Corp ). They made a couple diff versions, the one I used that was fuel proof was called "type M", for metal to metal contact.

MOTOSEAL1 it is.

Forms a tough flexible bond that is highly effective on irregular and uneven joint surfaces. Ideal for use on frequently disassembled engines. Resists gasoline and other damaging fluids.

sounds exactly like what I have. Being a 30 year old machine close tolerances weren't their strong points.

This is more to keep the WATER out than the GAS in.
