I just registered on this website and I must say this is a very good website. There is a wealth of information here. I have a 1987 mercury cougar with 96,000 miles on it. In the past I have had the injectors cleaned by a friend that used the method of disconnection the fuel pump and running the engine on the bottle of cleaner. This has worked out extremely well. He has also used some sort of flush injector cleaning machine on it as well. I'm kind of needing to get that done again but I'm looking to see if there are any other additives I could add to the fuel tank to get some decent results. I've tried Sea Foam with limited luck and the Lucas injector cleaner as well. The one thing I noticed was the car seemed to run a lot better with the Lucas additive was in the tank.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
