Fuel Economy Improvements?

But what is the BSFC of those new motors? Might churn out the power yet do worse at the pump when tasked with work.

You keep wheeling that one out in ethanol discussions, but don't provide the evidence on the better MPG on E85 than diesel.

My reading of the articles is that it's better thermal efficiency, which then has to be translated using BTU in the tank, and ethanol loses there...in order to yield better "MPG", they have to be increasing the efficiencies by 30-40%...which is plainly not possible...but you keep wheeling it out.
