Had an oil analysis done on my BMW X3 with N55 engine. Fuel property value is 2. I am going on a road trip and wondering if it is safe to drive the car. Unfortunately, I forgot to have my mechanic check out this issue before my upcoming road trip.

Thanks!

Can you give us some more information:

How car is driven (short trips, or highway)

What oil was used

Any other additional information

Car is mainly driven on short trips.

LiquiMoly Molygen 5w40 the past 30k+ miles.
The short tripping isn't helping the fuel dilution.

I'd also suggest going Mobil 1 0w-40 or Castrol 0w-40 if available.

The Liqu Moly isn't bad, but for the price, you're overpaying for it.

I would suggest using a different lab. That 2% figure will be low because the report is from Blackstone. If you are concerned about fuel dilution, use OAI or Polaris.
