Hi,

I dont eat a whole lot of either, but lately I got a bag of oreos becaue they were on sale, and I buy small bags of fritos every now and again if I go out to lunch.

Fritos taste, for lack of better words, drier than they used to be. To my suprise, oreos do too... and they definitely arent filled as much as they used to be. It seems that double stuf cookies are only filled as much as the singles used to be! the singles are filled very little. Thye taste a little better when left in the refrigertor, but it doesnt help 100%...

Definitely not all that good. Back to homemade oatmeal cookies. The healthy, better tasting option IMO.

Anyone else notice this?

Don't know if it is still true, but Oreo's made in Canada had much better filling than US made. Don't know what the deal was.
I also noticed the last bag of Oreo's double stuff a guy at work bought seemed a bit thinner than usual.
Have not really noticed a difference in the Frito's, but I don't get them that often, and when I do, it usually is for Frito Pie or used rolled in a tortilla with cheese and chili.

The easy solution is to eat one less... and save the fat and calories. If the company changed the formulation for that reason, they and the complaining public are moe idiotic than even I thought...

Fritos always make me feel nauseous and dizzy. Not any other corn chip, tortilla, whatever. Just Fritos.
Oreos. Hmmm. Forgot about those. But I didn't need to remember...

Same with Cinema Pop Corn and McDonald's French Fries. No more cooking with Coconut oil for the popcorn. And no more beef tallow in the deep fryers at Micky D's. The health Nazi's strike again.

I love Fritos, but as I got older, I noticed that my stomach would ache more than usual. Grease. I can't handle all that grease like I use to. I know my daughter loves Oreo's and taught her the "milk dunk" technique.

Id love to make one... have to find the recipe though.

Care to share???

Do you guys in the US have the new Golden Oreos? They replace the outer chocolate cookie with a vanilla cookie instead. They are super yummy!

Frito pie sounds right up my alley.

Peggy makes that on my favorite show, King of the Hill which is based in Texas.

Frito pie must be a Texas thing.

I will be making one this weekend.

On a side note they have a frito burrito at Sonic and it is dang good.

Any constituent of food that is under 3% does not need to be on the label!
BTW, another snack that has literally turned sour over the decades are.... Twinkies.
