and can you give me a list of oils which have them?

I'm not exactly up to par on the definitions of the different oils, and this description comes up a lot as being a good thing for OHC engines??

So, basically ALL oils contain friction modifiers?

I didn't get much off that page in regards to which brand has what, or if they all have those additives.

Pablo - Gotcha, it makes sense now.

MolaKule - THANK YOU! "Any oil that says energy conserving" tells me what I need - THANK YOU.

It's not that simple. Even if it doesn't say "Energy Conserving", it probably still contains friction modifiers. Most modern oils contain friction modifiers.

I think the point about the "Energy Conserving" label virtually guaranteeing that the oil has friction modifiers is as follows.

It's a reasonably high standard. In order to meet it, the oil is going have to be rather thin AND will need very low friction to outdo the synthetic 5W-30 reference oil. A thicker oil could still contain friction modifiers, but wouldn't meet EC because of higher internal drag.
