I wonder if it's real or like the regular FBI entrapment tactics. From the sound of it, it's another "justify your budget" style operation by the law enforcement organizations.

Yeah they 'entrapped' them inside the court house.Forcibly pushed through the window. They should never have been allowed in the country.

Were they driving 5 mph under the speed limit?

As for "can't explain why they were there", go go 5th amendment! Shut up, shut up. They could be urban explorers. Naturally I bet LOTS of anti-terrorism law enforcement will be all over these guys' 2nd cousins, so I don't see that they have to talk.

They've been doing this for years. Don't want to fearmongering, but my father noted them photographing state office buildings in Newark, NJ before 9/11. Reported it to security and nothing was done. You can be sure that this stuff is happening.

Plus we have the google cars photographing everything to populate maps.

Everyone can get images of most everything...

No conspiracy theorist but it's good to have an idea about what's going on in the country and the anti-terror people. Fighting terrorism is a big business and they have to justify themselves.

One recent example of what I am talking about:

Quote:
One FBI informant and convicted forger so troubled a mosque in Southern California with his jihadist talk while digging for terror-minded members that the Irvine group got a restraining order against him. The Justice Department subsequently dropped its case against a member of the mosque who agreed to blow up buildings on tape.

Holder about the alleged entrapment, more info.

Man, some of you guys need new sources of news. 17 of the last 20 foiled "terror plots" WERE entrapment by the FBI. You can read the indictments yourself.

It's probably to undermine the current administration but the situation is pretty bad and has been going on since the last administration.

People need to put these things in perspective. Radical Muslims did kill a lot of people since 9/11. But far more Americans are killed by ordinary crime each year, especially gang crime, by many orders of magnitude.

In my town, I have NO concern about Middle Eastern terrorism, but I have a lot of concern about ordinary crime. The authorities here tolerate a lot of it because "political correctness" pressures them to not enforce the laws when certain ethnic groups commit crimes. We all know what I am talking about.

They let whites off the hook (I wouldn't call that political correctness but "the way things are")? I think there is a strong correlation between skin tone and persecution rates.

If you rid yourself of the false left vs right paradigm, Fox vs NBC, Packers vs. Bears, donkeys vs elephants etc. and look at individual sources using your own brain, it's liberating.

Bashing or not viewing a news source simply because of pre-concieved notions (or manufactured "this vs. that" tactics used to divide us) is foolish. There are people reporting real news at all the major establishment media outlets; you just have to use your due diligence to weed through the garbage.

It's just that it's a rarity on FN where most of the stuff is tainted with "opinion" for entertainment purposes.

And what has NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS been doing for decades? If you don't like Fox News....don't watch it (even though it is rated high in ratings over and over again).
It's so irritating when when folks on the left complain about ONE news network....when those on the middle/right have had to deal with bias for years and years before FOX came along.

I've tried to watch Fox News - they seem to assume we are intellectual midgets with the kinds of things you hear there. Something similar goes with CNN or the others but not to that degree.

PBS seems to be the most intellectually honest source.

I believe Fox had the first 15 shows in the rankings just out.

That's a BIG feather in their cap, as they are rather new to the news biz. Not a small lead. See the ratings link below. The lefties had better be worried.

Where Fox excels is they report stories the other networks ignore. Some of these turn into biggies. But like every media outlet they have some chaff. Like AndrewG said, you have to sort through it.

High ratings do not contradict what I have written. You can show porn and have even higher ratings. Doesn't mean that it is a source of news (or sex education in case of porn).

I don't believe anyone said these facts contradict you. But the opinions you voice are not automatically more credible than anyone else here. Especially when you somehow try to introduce porn into this discussion.

Actually I am in agreement with you here. Ratings only indicate viewers. But I would strongly disagree that PBS is the best outlet for news.

It's just that many here try and pitch Fox as some kind of right wing 'fringe' news when in actuality they are quite well received, hence the ratings. The 'left versus right' thing is dated and many are rejecting the traditional divisions.
