Freezing Fog

That's what Canadians miss most when they go to FL for the Winter.
We are homesick for the freezing fog.

i have lived here in central virginia for 53 years and have never seen this until last week when it came across the tv that we were in for freezing fog. i'll have to admit it was beautiful.

Oh ..ok ..basically a "frost" with fog present.

Sparkling in the air when all is dark except a light behind. Fairly magical at work early this AM. At home it was bone dry and cold when I left.

The day is gorgeous right now. Sunny and nice.

When I saw this this morning I thought it said freezing frog. Eyes ain't what they used to be

They have a frog in U.K that freezes in the winter, thaws out in spring and off it goes. Amazing that

Is that much like the fog I encountered last winter that would put 1/4" of frost on my antenna while driving at night?

Closest I've ever seen is a Dog Moon (?), where frozen crystals form a lens that makes a pretty rainbow ring around the moon.

This stuff is not fun for pilots, but it makes beautiful crystals on everything.
