free-standing room air conditioners - sharp vs LG

Hi,

The walk-up attic in my house is finished. I have small windows up there, and I recently put in good windows, so I can't mount a window unit. I want a free-standing room A/C, which most stores sell.

Ive seen fedders, haier, sharp, LG, and a bunch of no-names.

I have LG dehumidifiers which seem to be good. Ive always thought that Sharp stuff is really top notch quality.

Any suggestions which brand to get?

You might also consider a ductless mini-split system. These are available with heatpump capability too.

I have a Haier unit that has served us well the last two summers. No complaints.
