Fram XG7317 9,000 miles cut open

9,000 oci on a 2016 Subaru Impreza 5mt 2.0L FB20 with Mobil 1 0w40. Im no filter expert but it looks like pleat is separated/torn from glue at end on one side of the pleat. It moves easily and freely on the torn side only and is lower/sunken down compared to the rest of the pleats

M1 0w40 and another XG7317 went back in/on.

It's either torn or was glued in place out of square. Good pics but just can't really tell from my angle. So, you think it's a tear?

Edit: Looked again & it does appear like it's torn. It's in the dreaded tear zone too so adds more evidence it's probably torn. Bummer! This will be the first "New Fram" version I've seen that tore.

This filter caught me by surprise for sure. Will be opening up all of them to check as they come back future oil changes.
