I am unable to find this filter anywhere. Is this something brand new from FRAM that didn't hit the stores yet?
Says it fits my Golf in signature. Lot of people here have good things to say about FRAM ULTRA.

You may be able to find the FRAM TITANIUM FS11784 at Advance Auto.
I imagine you are either going to have to order it or choose the Extra Guard CH11784.
Why not go to NAPA and pick up a rebranded OEM filter?

Have you try the ones you mentioned in your Tiguan? I imagine the cartridges are same for 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 or not?

The WIX and NAPA Gold are identical to the Mann made VW filters. I haven’t bought one but, I’ve looked at them. Just like the Motorcraft FL-2062A cartridge filter is identical to the WIX/NAPA Gold filter. Yes, my Tiguan uses the same filter as your Golf. Mann+Hummel is now the parent company of WIX.

I got couple of VW Genuine 06L115562B left. It says they are made in Slovakia.
That's why I start to look for replacement and something cheaper and hopefully same good quality..
The WIX you mentioned is on RockAuto for $4.86.

This there a difference in the media performance since it’s different? Seems like the red is wire backed and the white is plastic like boss and xp

.
Jurko, have you been able to obtain this XG11784 anywhere yet?
Seemingly it isn't even available in Europe anyway. To be honest
I wouldn't consider it if it was made in North Korea regardless of
its quality.

The Ultra XG 11784 is Exactly the same as the K&N HP 7038. I have both, I'm returning the K&N. Other than color, appear to be identical materials. Both made in Korea.
Use Mann HU6013z, exactly the same as Audi oem. 2016 Audi A6 2.0t Quattro.
The Mann Made in Germany filters are built heavier, thicker, double walled, and have a mesh lining of some kind as well as rubber internal gaskets.
The Fram ultra and K&N internal seal is just material, no rubber or silicone O ring. The paper synthetic material in the Fram/K&N (pretty sure these are made in the exact same factory) is quality tightly bound pleats, but the Mann uses a more spread out although almost double thick pleat, the filter feels twice as thick inside to outside. The Fram/K&N weigh 1.1 oz and the Mann 1.3, doesn't seem like much but the Mann is noticeably heavier and feels higher quality. The Mann's are very reasonable on ebay or amazon. $11 per roughly. All three are 20k mile Synthetic rated filters.

So I thought I would cut open the Audi VW Mann filter I just took at to show the dirt it collected, no metal thankfully! 2016 Audi A6 2.0t 53k miles. The mesh webbing is the inside or return side, outside catches the dirt. 3,200 miles roughly on filter! Also, the oil that came out is pitch black. No light will pass through a 4qt jug with 2500 lumens flashlight! So, change your oil often, 5k max! None of this 10k or will last up to 20k junk. Change it at 3-5k!
