FRAM ULTRA 3593A CUT OPEN

Realize the center tube is corrigated, and the holes are aligned with and punched on the V shape ridge line of the congregations. There will be a slight flare around the hole due to how they are punched out. Most filters have a much flatter center tube surface compared to what Fram uses. No hanging chad or burrs, just a flare around the hole edge. Here's a better close up.

Wow that looks better than the rest of the punched holes in that Same filter yet it still looks grossly unfinished

Not always. Older Honda's and Acuras used 3593A

Now that you mention it, the 3593A rings a bell. I changed oil in several different Civic's in the late 2000's.
