Fram TG3600 C&P, 3700 miles

Just did an oil change on my Liberty...had about 3700 miles on it. Ran Maxlife 5w30. This one was installed back in December, so it saw tons of very very cold starts (many sub zero). Looks like it could have gone further.




Same oil put in, but I got an Ultra this time since Walmart was out of Tough Guards, but had they had one, I would've gotten that. Going to run the Ultra for 3 changes I think.

An Ultra could go 6 changes at 3700mi IMHO.

Those TG's look nasty to me. Outside they look great but Ultras only for me.

The ultra is the only Fram Product I like. Otherwise, I will stick with Wix or OEM filters.

Lots of moisture in the oil-sure your thermostat isn't stuck open? Need to try to get it hotter in winter, maybe a winter front or oil pan heater could help?

I'm sure it's not...it heats up pretty quick in the winter. For some reason these engines are prone to condensation. Plus in the winter it gets a lot of short trips to the ski hill that's about 2 miles away.
