Nothing that uses an 18mm thread is considered "Racing" material

Any Fram that will fit with an 18mm thread will be a better filter anyway....

I was thinking the same thing ...

Syclone/Typhoon? GTP?

Its a good oil filter, with a bypass pressure threshold to match GM's recommendations for just about any gasoline engine they have made in the last 5 years. GM TSB on bypass pressure issue

Usually a Fram Ultra is a better choice since it filters better, flows very well, and holds more dirt though. Would be nice if the Racing filter used Ultra media though.

From another thread, kind of sums things up:

.... and note "Motorking" had some role in the design of it at Fram ....

This filter media was engineered for flow, not capacity. It is a real nice balance of high flow and decent 94%@20 mcron efficiency. Still has enough capacity to meet OE change interval of any modern high performance car.

3/4" = 19mm not much more than 18, .020" on each side of hole.
GM 350's are never used for racing, even the 90's Corvettes?
That's fine, they never race, I listen to others opinions.

the fram racing just has a lil screen over the bypass.. Im not sure if they all have steel end caps..

Id stick with a K&N if you need a racing filter.... I mean if you must have a racing filter...

Personally I like Genuine oil filters but a/c delco has a racing filter and I know motorcraft has a racing filter....

Im not a big FRAM guy... Not saying FRAM is bad... Im sure the FRAM ULTRAs are good...

Yeah, I like K&N filters too, but the Fram Racing Filters are BEASTS.

Why would you even chime in if you weren't sure of the filter's construction?
