I have both the Bosch 3422 (same as Fram 3600) & Purolator L14477 (Stock OD) in hand right now and just did a comparison. I wouldn't recommend using the super oversized filter for regular 5k intervals because only about 1/4th of the gasket is sealing against the metal plate.

The ph3600 gasket seals completely on the base metal plate on this 2005 Pontiac vibe. I'll add some pictures later.

Looks like the Fram gasket is smaller in diameter than Bosch/Purolator since there is a bigger gap to the edge of the fram can.

Your setup looks secure, but different brands could vary. The Purolator L20195 is only 4.74" tall vs Fram PH3600 @ 4.92" even though they're supposed to be identical in size.

wow that is a lot of sediment. I've been using the XG3600 as an oversized option on my focus, tundra, and landcruiser with no problems so far with fitment or sealing.

I changed the oil again today. Miles on the car were 222970. The oil in the car was a mobil 5-30 and the filter a fram ph3600. I noticed that before when I used the cd2 detergent additive the engine oil became dirty with specs of dirt on the dipstick quickly. The risolone treatment this oil change interval did nothing like that.

Before I changed the oil I added a quart of kerosene and ran the engine for 30 minutes.

The filter was dirty, but nothing like the last change.

I put in PYB with a fram ph3600 filter and will run it for 2K miles with no additives or anything else.
