Fram or Purolator for the KIa

I'm the OP. Went to AAP today and got me a shiny black M1-104A oil filter. I might even do the oil change today.
I'll take the Fram and Purolator back to Walmart next week.

M1 filter installed along with Valvoline Advanced 5W30. I can stop obsessing now.

Have two '25 SOULs' ( 2.0 Ltr. w/ M.P.I ) and use the 26300-35505 . Very well made and inexpensive . I think there's talk of the newer HYUNDAI / KIA O.E.M. filters being produced by Premium Guard . Do look similar .

The filter I took off today was a H/K Premium Guard installed this past winter by my tire shop. It was made in China.

Gee, that's shocking. Since when are things made in China ? I have a story for all of you. My 1987 Electrolux tank vacuum cleaner. I use it in the garage instead of a shop vac, because it has a bag that catches all the stuff, vs a shop vac that just spits dust everywhere. So, under the 2 parking spots is cheap, thin black carpeting. Little softer when I'm rollin around under the cars. Vacuum needed a new " power nozzle" ( carpet nozzle). Go on E-Bay and find a 1987 match to the broken one. Gets delivered, I unpack it. Looks nothing like the OEM power nozzle. So, I say, what is this junk ??? I connect it, plug it in, and it works fine. But, I'm still baffled as to where it came from. So, I look at numbers on it, etc. Then I find a spot that said " Made in PRC "...What the heck is PRC I say ? Go on the computer. " Peoples Republic of China". Thank you Ronald Reagan.
