I used a tailpipe cutter so its a little mangled and you can see where I had to pry it up.

But typical Fram fashion. No drama. No visible tears (i looked thru every pleat pryed apart and backlit). Only odd part is the 2 wide spaced pleats. I wish I could still get these as they fit my filter cup perfect. An XG4967 took its place along with Pennzoil Synthetic 5w30HM.

I didnt notice a date code. This was on my Yaris DD with 5k OCIs with either Supertech Synthetic 5w30HM or Pennzoil Synthetic 5w30HM

I use a tailpipe cutter and the trick is not to squeeze the handle cause the wheels will puncture the can and make things more difficult. I choke all the way up the handle just to hold it in place and turn the filter and works beautifully all the time.

Curious mention about the tears, as I don't think we've ever seen a synthetic media filter, from any manufacturer, tear.
