Noticed on LCD's website that they no longer recommend FP Plus for diesel, they just recommend the original FP60. Any ideas why this would be the case?

Onlu thing I could think of is that it emulsifies water and some manufacturers do not recommend that anymore because it gets water beyond the water traps.

I sent them a message to see if they will explain.

I received a response for LCD for those interested as follows.

"The reason we now say FP 60 is the preferred product for diesel is that
tests have shown that it adds no sulfur to ULSD. Fleets are very conscious
of this and FP Plus does add micro amounts so therefore we need to be
cautious of recommending.

If you are just using in your truck or other vehicle, there should be no
issues at all and you can see the best results at 1 ounce per 5 gallons."

This makes no sense whatsover, unless they changed the FP Plus formula.

I formulated their FP Plus and actually reduced sulfur content down from their FP60.

Have them show you a complete elemental anaylsis of the two products in question.
