Found a bunch of bottles of unopened yamalube at a yard sale and purchased them cheap mostly out of curiousity. Anyone know how old these are? That code on the back leads me to believe its from 96. Ran great in my trimmer.

I would say from the late 80's. That batch was made my Imperial Oil for Yamaha
That old eh? Makes sense. I haven't seen that colour scheme in a long time.
FYI: A couple of months ago, one of the guys at Blackstone labs did a new oil analysis of VERY old oils. (The article may still be on their website.) Short version: all the old oils ALL met spec. and were fine. If the oil is of a specification that can be used in a machine, it should work just fine.
