I well remember the old 1950's British TV series with Richard Green.
As I remember, it was actually quite good

Not to change the subject, but:
I watch Robin Hood (staring Richard Green) weeknights at 10:30 P.M.
It's on a religious station 26.4 (using rabbit ears).
It is quite good.

We had a local discount chain called Hill's which was a lower tier K-Mart (Kind of a Dollar General but with merchandise like a small K-Mart)

They would sell those in a big bin for like $2, they were pretty much work that no longer had a copyright, and taped on the cheapest tapes with cheap covers and at SLP speed instead of SP to save tape!

It was cheap junk then and I don't think time has helped it. No one who was forced to watch anything they put out as a kid would have fond memories and want it today.

Since it was mentioned above: If anyone is interested in the series Adventures of Robin Hood with Richard Greene, the whole series- that's ~140 episodes- is available on Amazon for $13. Amazon>Movies & TV>type in "robin hood richard greene"; you'll find it. Should be a good one for the kids too.
