I was wondering what the shelf life of German GC is? I found a large quanity of the German stuff at AutoZone in Idaho, seems to be more then 10 cases and about 20 bottles on the dispaly shelf!

I would like to run this oil in my O5 Subaru 2.5L turbo Outback, it calls for 5W30; would this oil be a good match? Idaho has hot summers--daily temps are at or past 100 degrees. The price for a case is $26.55!

Thanks to those that reply!

Yes, yes ,yes...given that turbo engine and your temp variations in Idaho, it would be perfect! A good safe shelf life for unopened bottles stored someplace where there are not large temperature swings: 7 years easy.

Does it have the yellow accents on the label and "made in the US" rather than the German made 0W30? If so, you don't have GC.

See GC here:

If you have GC M02X, then it is green, you simply need to have more light to see the green better.
