Found a huge quanity of GC?

I was wondering what the shelf life of German GC is? I found a large quanity of the German stuff at AutoZone in Idaho, seems to be more then 10 cases and about 20 bottles on the dispaly shelf! I would like to run this oil in my O5 Subaru 2.5L turbo Outback, it calls for 5W30; would this oil be a good match? Idaho has hot summers--daily temps are at or past 100 degrees. The price for a case is $26.55! Thanks to those that reply!

[Welcome!] Yes, yes ,yes...given that turbo engine and your temp variations in Idaho, it would be perfect! A good safe shelf life for unopened bottles stored someplace where there are not large temperature swings: 7 years easy.

GC begins with M02*** (made in 2002) through M05** (Made in 2005). The first few numbers after that I believe are the week of the year bottled.

If so, you don't have GC. See GC here: http://home.comcast.net/~dsmphotos/gc/gc.html See DC here: http://home.comcast.net/~dsmphotos/dc/dc.html If you have GC M02X, then it is green, you simply need to have more light to see the green better.
