Bought it last month and sent in this sample to check for coolant in the oil. (Very glad the LIM gaskets are holding for now). Nothing really exciting here, but was wondering a bit about the lowered vis.. especially with the low miles on this OCI.

With that many miles, someone at one point has done the gaskets.
How hard are you running it? My Regal GS, doesn't use oil and has good UOA's but they always comment about the low viscosity. Maybe it is an S/C 3800 thing?

The majority of my driving is pretty easy on it. I do enjoy opening it up sometimes though! Love that blower whine.
I figured this engine might be a little tough on oil as it specs 10w-30 in the manual.. but have heard nothing but good things about the 3800's aside from the gaskets.
