I thought as much. I wasn't sure if it was just the bed or the entire body. I remember the commercials for Chevy showing holes in the Ford's Aluminum bed after dumping a load of bricks in it.

That damage was the result of a fire caused by lightning, not by a lightning stroke itself.

If it had burned to a crisp it wouldn't have been honest to show a photo of melted aluminum and headline it as "Super Duty Struck by Lightning, only Puddle of Aluminum Left.

That would be Zinc. (The 800 F range).
