I don't hate people who own cherokee's I will feel sort of sorry about it though.
mom's got the newer Cadillac TGDI, 2 weeks in the shop with fuel issues.
It's because of a bad engine block design in the earlier builds of the 1.6L Ecoboost. It seems like they changed it in later 2015. I have a 2016 so I'm crossing my fingers I'm in the clear.
