has anyone got the good ,bad or ugly on this oil. I have 2015 Explorer and trying to decide if to stick with ford or go Penn ultra platinum?

I have used the MC full syn in a previous 2005 Honda Accord with no issues.

However, the PP Platinum Ultra may be a cheaper buy, at least south of your border.

I'm just a little envious you can find the new Ultra.

The Motorcraft full syn is top notch, but with limited availability the pricing makes it undesirable when you can get Pennzoil Ultra Pure Plus for $28/5 quarts or slightly more at auto parts filter+jug specials.

You can get a case of 12 for about $91, but shipping shoots the price/quart of the MC syn up.

The regular motorcraft oil is really top notch. It seems to be on perma-sale in the states for only $39 or so. Plus they rotate your tires. I did a couple of uoas and it was just fine all the way to 7300 miles. I decided it was better to change it at 6k or so and use the money I save to change the differential oil.
