I'm wondering if the injector screens are partially plugged. This would explain the loss of power too. And why treatments are helping.

I still think you should find some 4-hole ones

LOL!

LOL.....You're right, its a matter of time, money, and working outside in the cold now that has me hoping these treatments will work. It's come a long way, and I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel.......I hope!

You can get a set of 8 brand new injectors for under $200.00 that would leave you 2 spares or you could sell them to offset the cost.

These are 14's, not as easy to find as 19's AFAIK.

Yes that price sounds to good to be true. But if I can grab them for that price I'd probably go for it.

He said they are grey-tops, which are 14's. 19's are orange.

I'm not sure. I was trying to make good with what I have, but would certainly look into them for $200. Can you let me know where I can grab them for that price?

He said on page 2 that they were grey. I couldn't remember what colour mine were. That was years ago.

I was able to get an entire set of 4-hole 19's for next to nothing from the wreckers.

That auction I found you can get the new Ford 14lb injectors for less than $100.00 shipped. I would certainly get those siince they are hard to come by.

I have a set of 14's in my garage, LOL. But they are the pintle style. If he's going through the hassle of replacing them, finding a 4-hole set would be a wise move.

My injectors are gray. I'm going to email the guy selling them a few questions. Thanks for the heads up guys!

You guys got me thinking now. For $100 shipped that is a deal! I shot them an email with a few questions. I can't seem to find the shop manual and my wife will kill me if I start making noise now. I don't feel like taking the dog house out tomorrow in the cold to look so maybe one of you can answer another question.

Does the intake phelum have to be removed to access the rail to get the injectors out? Anyone know how many hours ~ to replace the 6 injectors in a 4.9L in an E series van?

I've got a 100 mile round trip possibly tomorrow to take it on and that might be the deciding factor in all of this. That is if those injectors will fit properly.

Again Thanks!
