Ford Gen 3 Coyote V8 owners oil and filter questions

Here is an excerpt from the 2022 Ford F-150 owner manual. It calls for a FL-500 s. The cross reference is to a Fram 10575, ( but not a Fram 10060 since it’s bypass pressure is lower. ). A Fram Ultra XG 10575 gets my vote.

I believe the Gen 3 Coyote now specs 5W-30 instead of 5W-20 ... Ford must have finally realized 5W-20 wasn't cuttin' it. Lots of Gen 1 and Gen 2 Coyote owners use 5W-30 instead of the specified 5W-20.

Use any oil that meets the Ford spec, and I'd stick with the Motorcraft filter while it's under warranty.

Yes, the spec is 5w30.

This is from my work van. A 2013 Ford E-350 6.8L V10. It was in use for 10 months and only 6000 kms. Dealer bulk synthetic 5w-20 was used. I know better then to use motorcraft but for our company vehicles we usually just maintain them at the dealer. Not anymore... I've noticed cuts in the adbv...
