My 2000 SE has fallen victim to the plastic bits in the trunk latch shattering. It seems to be a common problem. Just Google Focus trunk latch to see. It appears that Ford no longer carries it in their system though my understanding is the same latch fits 2000 thru 2005 vehicles. I have searched Ebay and Craig's List but have seen none available. The local salvage yards will only sell the entire deck lid assy. And with that I am still getting a seven to twelve year old part that is likely to implode soon anyway. Outlets like Rock Auto don't list them. Any one have any good ideas?
