IMO, Ford has an uphill battle in the EV world because trucks are their bread and butter. At this point in time, I struggle to see the viability of an electric truck from any maker.
I give them credit for breaking out their EV financials; I'm not sure anyone else does so. Additionally, I give CEO Farley and Co. credit for making the tough decisions by changing business direction based on results and their forecast. CEO Barra gaslights GM EV results in
direct opposition to reality.
They have had sales success with the Bolt, but as of
April of this year GM has not yet turned a profit on its electric models, including the Bolt. GM hopes to make a profit on their EV business in 2025, dependent on sales volume.
