Quote:
Residents of the small Australian town of Lajamanu were left speechless when thousands of fish fell out of the sky.

The hundreds of spangled perch fish started bombarding the 650 residents of the outback town, much to the astonishment of local Christine Balmer, who was walking home when the strange 'weather' started.

She said: 'These fish fell in their hundreds and hundreds all over the place. The locals were running around everywhere picking them up.

'The fish were all alive when they hit the ground so they would have been alive when they were up there flying around the sky.

'When I told my family, who live in another part of Australia, about the fish falling from the sky, they thought I'd lost the plot.

'But no, I haven't lost my marbles. All I can say is that I'm thankful that it didn't rain crocodiles!'

Reader's Digest published a book , "Mysteries of the Unexplained".
Among all sorts of things , it contained accounts of fish, frogs, and all sorts of odd things falling from the sky.
Like always, there is a good natural explanation.

My question is: Is this considered 'weather'?

Tornado....happens actually a lot here in Oklahoma. As you all know, a lot of things get sucked into the vortex, well, what goes up, must come down. A tornado, dust devil or water spout can form in seconds and then disappear just as quickly.

Like Schmoe said, what goes up, must come down.

Negative pressure sucked things up [for whatever meteorological situation], and they eventually fell back in another location.
