Flushing rules when switching to RAVENOL

Somehow I stumbled across this Russian website that talks about "flushing" your motor before switching to Ravenol. I thought it was pretty interesting, so I thought I'd pass it along.

I think it's because of what they allude to in the first section, counterfeit products are a really, really serious problem there. Welcome to doing business in a modern feudal kleptocracy.

Also it's amusing Ravenol Russia (aka "KGBstadt") has a retrograde .su and not more current .ru web address. Kind of a flag in itself but it appears legit.
 
More a function of counterfeit oil in the Russian market than of a need to flush between brands.
 
Pretty nice article there. I don't think we need to worry too much about it here in the states.
Now if I was switching a very sludged up engine to PAO based Ravenol with "clean syntol" I'd be cautious.
