I need to dig up the spec but I know it is Pentosin based and I found a ZF article that recommended 60k change intervals. BMW claimed lifetime recently even though the OE apparently recommends otherwise.
By follow the book, are you saying follow BMW or follow ZF's recommendation? I am looking to extend the life as much as possible with Cobb soon to be added to the equation so presumably more heat/wear on the transmission. I am using 7500 - 10k OCIs vs BMW recommended 15k for similar reasons. I am not familiar with ZF ATF so my debate is just do a drain and fill with roughly 5 quarts of ZF vs full flush and fill with ZF or Redline ATF. I am assuming mixing the 2 is not desired but perhaps you all have other thoughts there also.
