I have seen previous post regarding fluid extractors i.e. the mighty vac. I don't have the dough for that so do AA Parts or Autozone sell a manual type with a long hose that I could use on transmission. I find the baster works fine for me on the PS and brakes.

Thanks.

$4.99 at harbor frieght. ITEM 95468-0VGA

Essentially a big boy turkey baster

The 'extractor' Gary pictured is what I have.
Found it next to the grease guns. Same size and color box.
Have to look closely.
Mine was $8.
Only drawback: hose is a bit big for getting down to the bottom of power steering pumps on most GM cars. Small pump.

Thanks, those are what I was looking for.

Both will work fine for the transmission fluid? Tube not too big? I have a 95 Taurus and 02 Caravan and would like to use it on both transmission's.

I have the harbor freight extractor and I am pleased with it. The hose that comes with it is not long enough for ATF,but you could always get longer hose and even reducers and smaller hose.

Gary, is the hose on that thing long enough to use it to change my motor oil ya think? Or how long is that hose ya think? I could compare the hose length to the dipstick and see if it would be long enough, surely looks like a nice gadget
