It’s stories like this that help me keep a healthy perspective on my life. When I think that I’m having a bad day, I try to remember people like the man in this story, the homeless people that I see everyday, or countless others far less fortunate than I am, then I realize that I’m not REALLY having a bad day. For this man to endure what he is going through and remain thankful and upbeat is truly inspirational. 🍻

I was on a flight home from Europe and an older guy next to me was wearing a lanyard. I was on the aisle in business class. As soon as I sat down, he told me that he's going to need to deplane as soon as the plane lands as he's transporting a human organ for transplant. We chatted a while about it. Seems this was his retirement gig to transport organs. I could only think of the Simpson's episode with Bart as the transport escort. I asked him if he knew what organ he was transporting. He did. There was a human lung in an orange box in the overhead bin above us. When we landed, an announcement told us to remain seated so that an urgent shipment could be removed from the plane. An official person boarded the plane and escorted the guy with the lung off the plane. Overall, it was pretty cool. I hope this heart guy gets his heart. Stupid weather delays ruin a lot of things.
