Is any oil with over 240 C - flash point ?
like: PENTO HIGH PERFORMANCE II 5W-40 flash point 240 C.

is any comm. avail has more then 240C ?

Redline oils did before they were reformulated a few years ago. Most of their street oils were 250C. Now they're down around 232C, which is still pretty good. And they still have single-digit Noacks. Any FP over 225C I think is pretty good.

Most SAE 30 and higher mono-grade engine oils are over 240C.

I believe that the higher the flash point is, the better the
oil is suited for sustained high temperature operation.

For that reason, mono-grades are the industrial work horses.

Not necessarily sustained high revs per se, but certainly sustained high temp (which usually results from high revs anyway). Fuel dilution, too, if I'm not mistaken.

Some people believe that a high flash point
is the mark of a quality product.

I have noticed an increase in flash points in
multi-grade engine oils over the last several years.

Amsoil's Z-ROD oils and DOMINATOR Racing oils are both 240C flash points.

EDIT: Their Diesel oils are 240C as well.

I expect they should be when considering the applications these products are developed for.
Amsoil formulates high quality products.

Monogrades tend to have higher flash points that multi-grades.

All Low-SAPS oils have very high flash point. However, of all, I think M1 5W30ESP is best in all aspects.

Wow, that's high. Not sure what you benefit from an extreme Flash point though, cleaner pistons? The 5w40 ESP has a 235 C Flash point, much lower, and the 0w30 doesn't list it.

Mobil 1 REALLY likes to pick and choose what spec info they post, really annoying.

BMW M5 - 560 HP, approx 420 KW of engine power. Count 35% efficiency, the overall amount of energy approximately 1200 KW produced. Roughly 300 KW should dissipate as heat, 500 KW in tailpipe. ( kettle 1.5 KW for comparison)

answered to temp Q. in engine: lowest -25C, highest 350-400C depend on engine mode and measure point

On this one they post pretty much everything. cst, HTHS, flash point, pour point, TBN etc.

it seems tend to polymerize at high temperature, write off

Why is that.

Flashpoint means at what temp the oil self ignites. When oil burns it can leave residue.

I'm lost as to what you mean here.
